C tracked down and haunted Tiff's sister in Chicago. She thinks Tiff is dead but C told her that if she heard from her, to tell her that someone in LA is looking for her.
K tells the coterie about the notebook on Saulot and says he wants MG to keep an eye on the kid he's been mentoring, Dylan. Tells us about the Freethinkers coterie. MG asks to come to the lecture.
MP suggests Jasper could keep an eye on Dylan as well and MG adds X.
Dean reveals his notebook on Tiff. Full name Tiffany Davidson, member of the Vanguard. Tremere neonate. Brought FL to the Cam. Initially worked under Lucinda; now an Archon. D says she was last seen in Chicago. Tells us about Wheats Vandermont, the southern Brujah politician. Also was a member of the Vanguard. D thinks maybe the Cam are sending them out to make LA Cam as well. Varlan Ketch (sp?), Ventrue. Connected to high level Ventrue. Richard Warren, "terrorist."
MP suggests he defected and that's why his coteriemates are looking for him.
We talk about the attack on Sycorax and other vamps.
MG tells the group about Drac's new compound in Sylmar and the bars that she's been to.
We talk about the Lucinda problem. C suggets keeping Tiff staked until Lucinda does what we want but D says it's too dangerous and wouldn't work. MG asks if there are ghost cops and C says we can talk to "the hierarchy" of ghosts in town and maybe they'll take care of them. MG mentions Brent -- MP says the price would be "a part of your soul" and says even Warren was unsure if he wanted to take it. She says that she will only ask Faust if others are okay with it.
MP asks to speak to MG alone in the lab. Tells her about a Nosferatu that Faust found creeping around the Manzanita house and staked. MP offers to let MG use him to pay her debt to Zamra. MG is huffy about not owing anything but considers it. MP takes her to the basement cell where she is keeping him and MG provokes a Premonition: She sees the nosferatu... not burned... kissing the ring of Marcus Naylor, and walking out with a cranky young man in a suit. MG tells MP he's Cam, or at least kissed Naylor's ring, and agrees to do it even though she won't concede that she owes anything. MP goes a bit bestial and drains more of his vitae into a vial than she expected. She becomes paranoid that she has diablerized him into a bottle and Zamra will be displeased. MG uses Share the Senses and feels nothing; tells MP that he doesn't seem to be there so he's probably not mad. MP gives her the vial and warns her to be careful with it. They discuss moving the body to the lab; MG says she'll create a distraction and MP goes to get a blanket. MG tries to drink blood from the floor of the cell.
Kas gets an alert and sends Tony. A snake was thrown over the fence. C and K go outside and a king cobra is attacking a dog. C attacks it with Oblivion and Kas uses Feral Whispers to talk to it. Snake asks K to "call off this whore of Babylon," and starts to change. "I was told that you might like to have a talk." Conrad, from the church. Says sometimes he likes the element of surprise. C uses Obeah on Tony to calm him down, then runs off to hunt. K sends Tony away with Cloud Memory and slakes from the dying dog, getting poisoned in the process. Conrad says he came "to ensure we can live close to each other in a civilized manner." Says they've met at least one Freethinker and they seem okay; he agrees with K that they seem like young people who think they know everything. Says we could attend a service if we want. Kas asks if they're Anarchs; he says they get along with the Kindred in the area.
C gets too hungry and blacks out, wakes up eating a frat guy on campus who is screaming. She stops herself from frenzying and uses Eyes of the Serpent on him and tells him to calm down, he just had a reaction to something in his drink. She leaves and sees him saying something to a group of people.
MP goes to Jasper's library to find books on diablerie. Finds out that she probably didn't diablerize the Nos into the vial. Talks to J a bit then returns to the lab and gives the Nos a trait of her vitae and talks to him, apologizing for taking too much.
MG goes to USC to find Zamra. Has to break into the building but can't find Z's office. Calls MP for help. MP calls Dr Ali and MG breaks into classrooms to kill time. Steals a fedora. Ali comes and MG gives her the blood, telling her that she's not doing it because she owes it, she's just doing it to be nice. Ali asks her if she'll be being "debriefed" and MG says NO and runs. MP apologizes and says it'll probably be okay for MG to keep her memory.
MG updates her notebook in the safety deposit box and then visits the new biker club after getting changed. There is a mural of Dean, Sycorax, and Kacey. Yung Sixxy painted the walls. MG sits down with Syc and Kacey and talks for a bit. Brings up the attack. Syc says they were fast -- attacked while she was on her bike. Had "a batman mask or some shit." MG takes her hands and forces a Premonition: It's Dylan. She says, "I know who it is!" and runs outside and calls Kas on the burner, tells him he has to come and his mom can come too. Kas pulls up and MG gets in the car and tells her everything.
Kas goes to Nelli to get fabric for armor for the dogs, then spends the evening sewing with his mom and Pam.
C talks to Raven about conducting a seance with her ex. Says she'll handle it herself.
C comes back to the haven and has a chat with MP. C tells MP that while she was out of her body, her shadow got the better of her and she went to visit her ex, who is now looking for Katie because she saw her ghost.
--- HAVEN ---
D invites the Valkyries back to the haven. MG says Kas should tell the group since Dylan is his fake friend. We talk and C suggests Kas invite him over to meet Bite Club, then C Serpent-Eyes him and we stake him. Valkyries say hell yes they want to participate. C says we don't tell Ishmael until we know what's going on. MP suggests that if Dylan is indeed powerful, he may have put a whammy on Ishmael.
Kas calls Dylan and invites him over. As he's coming inside, he stops and asks, "Are you sure you want to do this?" Catherine comes outside and tries Eyes of the Serpent but he powers through it. MP Blinks behind him with Silence of Death. MG moves to the door Obfuscated and points an AK at him. He uses Majesty and MP and Kas are unable to do anything, but C is able to offer him her hand to shake. He looks around and suggest we go inside and refuses. C and MP try to get him to walk in front of them and he slaps C. C uses the K-hand to ring the bell and the Valkyries and Dean come out of hiding into the yard. He says things will get messy if we don't let him leave with Kas. C tries to hit him and he ducks matrix-style. Tells her to respect her betters. Tries to get Kas to go with him again. C tries to attack again and Dylan torpors her with a single punch. MG uses Share the Senses as they leave. Dylan walks with Kas to the back of a Ralph's and MG can't see anymore.
MP asks MG if we should get another stake from Faust. MG asks if he would even have any more. MP calls Raven to help with C. MG thinks that any of the Council would be high enough potency to awaken her but gets paranoid and worries that if she wakes up too soon she will go after Dyl and make things worse. Raven takes the necklace for safekeeping but doesn't know how to help other than calling her sire. Says she'll lay low for a few days. MP will call when things are better.
MG calls Max and sets up plans to visit Dracula the next night. MP is slightly upset that MG wants to wait but MG admits she's scared C will get them killed. They move the body to the basement and make her comfortable with piles of MG's clothes.
--- RALPH'S ---
D says he's happy with the progress that Kas has been making. Kas asks if the Golconda journal he got came from D and he says yes. Says maybe "all of you can help" with something. Says some Anarchs needed to be made afraid again -- compares us to house cats and says cats aren't tigers. Says he's trying to make sure Kindred survive. Sycorax, for example, was "a little too loud." Says he doesn't care about the particulars of the Masquerade, only the general idea. Says he's roughly 1200 years old; belongs to no sect. Says he was impressed with the coterie taking out the Prince but would like to see some of that violence turned towards Hunters instead of Kindred. Kas asks his name -- Theo. Won't say the full name. Kas calls MP on the secure phone and tells her that he has offered to wake C up if we can guarantee no violence. MP declines for now and says we'll try another method first.
--- CATHERINE ---
C's ghost goes through a Harrowing -- she relives the confrontation with Naylor over and over with a new person dying each time until she realizes that it was her refusal to back down that caused it.
--- NEXT DAY ---
The K-hand comes in and makes the phone symbol to MG. MG gives it the phone and it types out RAVN IS KT DIG ME UP with lots of typos. MG and Kas check out the body downstairs and it's greying and beginning to smell. MP wakes up and joins them. MG has a vision: "You see Raven with a shovel in a graveyard yelling, "don't worry Katie! We're coming!" As James Dean stares, trying to dig through the earth, but he goes right through." MP texts Raven: "I know, we'll handle it," but R replies, "She needs me." MP tells her to be careful.
--- HOLLYWOOD FOREVER ---
MG calls Imalia and describes R and tells her to keep an eye on her. Imalia says there are people in the cemetery tonight and MG asks her to create a distraction if necessary.
Bite Club arrives and it's movie night so there are cars everywhere. R is by her car as well. We find the grave and begin digging. Gary Golden shows up and is somewhat upset but MG has a convo with him, confusing him a bit by showing him the text and saying we have permission. He says that if there's a decomposing corpse in there then we owe him a Major Boon, then begins to help. Eventually we uncover Katie, conscious, with a scar around her neck. She gets the necklace back from Raven. GG says he can cover the hole back up and has a body to get rid of anyway.
Katie invites us all to a seance at Bite Club manor. Raven comes and invites Kayla. She arrives and MG leads the seance. Katie (pseudo-disguised with bleached hair and glasses, under a cape) passes around the necklace and then reveals herself to Kayla. They have a long tender moment and she says that she needs to go away for a while. Kas freaks a little but everyone is mostly okay with it. She says she'll keep her garden but tells MG it will be "less scary."
--- NIGHTS LATER ---
MP and Dean get invited to party in the Hollywood Hills by Yung Sixxy.
Dean tells us that his sources say Lucinda may simply be letting Warren think that she's dead.
--- PARTY ---
We go upstairs and Elm and Karen introduce us to Theodora. Karen talks a bit about our problem with Warren and then says that Thea may have some common interests with us. Th explains that she wants to get rid of Nelli in Hollywood. MG mentions that Dracula is the real king but says Thea can have a smaller crown, and Th agrees. Th has heard of Drac's queen claiming to be Aaliyah; MG says that we did that and says she's a very powerful psychic. Forces a premonition and sees Th with DeMille on a rooftop. Th has a headdress on. CbDM says "better than Greece, isn't it?" and Th agrees. MG says "You're thinking it's better than Greece," and Th says "I like you." Asks MP about her plants; Th says she doesn't work with plants but does do a bit with the elements. She talks to Kas and he kisses her hand; she pulls him in and kisses him on the lips. MP asks her what her plans for Hollywood are and she says she'd like to have her embarassed in front of the kindred of LA so that they demand a new Baron. MG hears a disturbance downstairs and tells the group. Th says she'll make a distraction and goes downstairs with Presence and yells out that she'll get the next round.
Downstairs, Dean is partying. He's found someone on drugs to feed off of. Shares them with a guy named Remi who also likes to be "high energy". D gives him a business card. A bit later, he hears a "WTF" and finds Remi pouncing, fangs out on a guy. Some people have their phones out, filming. They are distracted by Th.
Outside the guys, two vamps, are fighting. Th yells, "CUT! We got the shot!" and seems to convince some people. Elm and Sixxy pull off the frenzying guy. MG is able to Cloud several people but thinks maybe 4 of them might have gotten her on camera. She points them out to Elm and says that they got the fangs on film and he she get their phones. Th takes us to her house in the Hills.
