Sullivan Dane pulls out a strange looking cross and Kaspar and Mirpuri both step backwards instinctively. He touches Mirpuri with it and she falls into torpor. Pam Tammi beats him with her ham fists. Marigold tells Theodora via Aglaonike's Breath of Whispers about the hallucination she's having where a man in a van is coming, and also that Kaspar was shot. She tells Max to drive closer and then takes some Vitae from him. Purrroboros attacks Sullivan Dane as well. Marigold and Max drive by in the van and shoot but miss. Dane's assistant Magdalena attacks with a crossbow. Theodora uses Theft of Vitae on Dane and he is stopped in his tracks as his blood leaves his veins and flies through the air. Magdalena shoots Kaspar and he is torpored. Theodora drains Dane completely as police sirens close in. Magdalena runs away. Theodora uses Shape of the Sanguine Sacrament to distribute her increased Potency Vitae to awaken Kaspar and Mirpuri from torpor. Six police officers show up and order everyone to the ground but Mirpuri uses Fata Morgana to make them think a squad car is exploding. While they are distracted, Kaspar uses Weight of a Feather and grabs hold of Purrroboros' tail to escape. Mirpuri gets into the van and Theodora flies away, telling Marigold via Breath of Whispers where to meet her. The police follow so Marigold and Theodora use Mesmerize and Entrancement to make them leave, telling them to erase their footage as well. Pam is caught by the police and confesses to murder so Theodora calls Brian Johnson to try to take care of it and uses her Resources to hire a lawyer. Marigold hunts and then retires to her own private Haven. Kaspar takes out the crystal ball that Vlad Tepes gave him and tells him that the deed is done.

Kaspar Fleshcrafts Theodora to change her appearance and she goes to visit the police chief to try and convince him to let Pam out on bail. Dr. Ainsworth shows up at the Haven. Kaspar shows him the video from Aglaonike's OwlCam and explains the events, including the statue and Pam. He gives Dr. Ainsworth the video.

Marigold goes to a few hardcore clubs and hunts, then comes home and has a chat with Demetri about being embraced or becoming a ghoul. He seems to like the idea of becoming Kindred, and Marigold mentions a few options with Bishop's group and Dracula.

Theodora talks to the lawyer at the station. He says that the police said a man was exsanguinated and his blood was in the air, that one of the suspects flew or high jumped, and that the cameras and a car malfunctioned. One officer saw a suspect get into a van but no one else did and the van was cleared by other officers. He says that Pam has been transfered to Torrence. A detective comes in and Theodora Entrances him, telling him she's a lawyer and pumping him for info. He says he can't find any of the officers' body cam footage. Theodora suggests that the officers were hallucinating from the gas leak in the house. The detective says that the chief moved Pam because the holding area was full but that it's actually almost empty. He says they called the FBI but they said that they weren't interested because of the officers' inconsistent stories. The detective calls the chief (Reyes) for Theodora and steps out. They have a similar conversation but the chief says the official reports do not have officers' statements about the car explosion. Chief Reyes asks if she knows Theodora Vance and says that if she were to call his personal lawyer, David Geduld, who has been involved in the "California nightlife" for a few decades, then things might get solved more quickly. He gives her a business card for SoCal Realty Consulting LLC, Torrence address and phone number. Theodora calls the number and arranges a meeting for midnight tomorrow, associates welcome.

Marigold tries to have a Premonition about the meeting: a man with a crooked crown, looking over LA. People in flannel, area looking grungy-ish. Doesn't seem to be affiliated with any particular group.

Mirpuri:
Mirpuri wakes up in the daytime but doesn't realize it. A guard comes into the lab to tell her that she has a guest. Saulot is standing outside when she checks the camera. He tells her to come outside because she won't be harmed. She tries and begins to Frenzy but he commands her Beast to quiet. They talk about the True Faith that almost killed her, her desire to "walk the path," and her quest to create a cure for Thinbloods. He tells her to keep working with Theodoric in Zamra's lab. Theodoric appears on the wall and says that he will be happy to help her but that she'll have to stay away from her "shadier" friends.

Marigold:
Marigold takes the newly embraced Demetri to the Asylum where Dracula is holding court with Bishop. She introduces him and both Dracula and Bishop are satisfied with her. She tests Demetri's powers and thinks that he has latent psychic powers like her own. She tells Demetri that he'll be useful for the clan to triumph. Bishop asks if she has returned to serve him and she says that she has to work with the Council but she will work with him when she can. Dracula agrees and says that there will be an alliance between Santa Monica and the Council. He tells Marigold that he needs her insight for a meeting he's having with a magician in a castle. Marigold has a Premonition and sees a number of Malkavians, all connected to Dracula like they are his family. There is a seance with Katie Page overseeing it. Something has gone wrong with the entity that has been summoned. Katie asks two people to betray their allies. The Tremere Regent Strauss as well as Trent are there. Theodora and someone who looks like Elvis are as well. Marigold reports this to Dracula but he says that her vision must be clouded because he has no family. Marigold asks to come along just to be sure and he agrees.

Kaspar:
HoST comes to Kaspar and tells him that the Master is waiting for him. Kaspar drinks from Vlad Tepes again and reports that Sullivan Dane is dead. Vlad asks him what he wants. He talks about his Haven and Coterie and his ambitions for leadership in the city. Vlad says this is laudable and asks if Kaspar foresees the Anarch Council being a problem. Kaspar says no. Vlad asks if he foresees them being useful. Kaspar says their democratic nature is their weakness. Vlad suggests that perhaps Kaspar could lead the Council. Kaspar demures and says his desires are the same as Vlad's. He asks Kaspar about his studies and gives him a book that he says is very old but might help. It's bound in human skin.

Theodora:
After killing Sullivan Dane, Theodora pushes for more control over Hollywood since she has protected Kindred more than Nelli. She calls in her Boon from Dracula to help her. Gary Golden and Yung Sixxy support her. One day Richard Warren comes to meet with her and makes her a deal to "get Victor Temple to look the other way for a little while" in exchange for Theodora agreeing to declare Silverlake Autarkis territory.

Katie comes to visit the Bite Club Haven and asks us to back her up at a seance at the Magic Castle. Marigold warns her about her vision.
