Max says he thinks Drac wants to go back home. He and MG think it's Universal Studio -- Max says he's heard it's a cool castle. MP looks up a map and there is no castle.
Catherine has a chat with Drac because she recognizes he's not really Dracula but Bela. She heard about someone in the 80s like him but hasn't heard about him a while. He says he remembers a valley, but maybe not The Valley. He was deposed; doesn't remember who did it. He had a castle in a place people called "the Studio;" he was overrun by "the shambling dead." C finds out that the House of Horrors exhibit was replaced by the Walking Dead exhibit.
--- NEXT DAY ---
MP gets email from faculty at college that Mr Yarborough is there. She heads there with a drink laced with her blood.
C gets call from Elsbeth. Says she's arranged a meeting for C with "one of our local relatives." Pizzeria in Van Nuys.
Kas gets call from Guillermo -- Baron C wants to talk to him.
C goes to bookstore to meet new cultists. Gets names of 13 people who were in Stella's circle. Arranges for them to come over Friday night. C heads to pizzeria. Meets with stereotypical mob guy Johnny somethingorother. Talks to her about Baron T. gives her a card for a pawn shop if she needs to contact him.
Ishmael, Nines, and Skelter pull up on bikes outside the Haven. MP and Kas tell 9s they know where VT is. MP shows him the tracking app and tells him he's usually staying by Pepperdine. He is currently in Bel Air. 9s asks about the Stella incident; MP demures and says ask C.
--- KAS / MP / CHOU ---
Armando is there. Chou asks for a rundown on Barons and others in town. Asks if Kas thinks they're reliable. Says there's an opportunity -- mentions someone named Luciana Valdez.
(mel stepped away and doesn't know what happened)
--- TEMPLE / CATH ---
C: "annabelle did it." T offers to help clean it up; C gives him the name list. C asks for camera back; T says to ask Nelli. C calls her and requests meeting to discuss it.
--- HAVEN ---
MG has dressed Purroborous up in her clothes. MP talks about chat with 9s. Kas says a big anarch is coming into town. C explains Temple meeting.
K's secure phone rings. Warren says cops were around, asking about us.
C looks for info on the 13 names. She finds pics online and MG and K confirm 7 have been memory wiped. C informs Baron T about the other 6.
Ishmael comes back. Asks if there's more we want to say. MG demures.
--- NEXT DAY ---
Kas works on the escape route.
C and MG track Zoe Westler, a lady at the party. She's with another woman who was also there. Katie steals their wallets; takes picture of zoe's license and keeps the other wallet.
MP meets with Yarborough again. feeds him more blood. she gets the subtle impression that he can hear her thoughts. she gets a hunger compulsion.
C and MG go to Zoe's house. MG breaks in the back door. She has dogs but MG thinks they're white. MG hides in the bedroom. C confronts Z in the living room; convinces her to invite her friend. C goes killin' again, and MG confronts her about it. MG makes her friend crazy with Dementate and C frames her for the death -- has her call the police and say "I killed my friend," then MG Clouds her memory. C invites MG to the ceremony but MG is super freaked. They go home and MG goes to her squat; C waits for her cultists to arrive.
--- HAVEN ---
motorcycles pull up. Nines with 3 friends - Annabelle, Skelter, and another that we don't recognize (Damsel). Says it's time to kill VT tonight. MP calls MG, sends an uber to her at the squat. MG comes home and admits in secret about her secret stake to Nines.
--- ATTACK ON VT ---
we tale motorcycles + tesla. 9s and damsel bust into the property with grenades; we run in and see 5 guards with guns. purroborous and Kas run for the house, get onto the roof, and break in. MP shoots incendiary AK rounds at guards. MG spots the lasombra and tells C; Katie shines the light on him and C takes him out with Skelter. MG uses unseen passage and attacks guards from behind, then runs for the house.
All doors and windows are warded; 9s, MG, and Kas get in taking dmg. Purro gets in easy. 9s fights a gargoyle on the stairs.
MG forces a premonition: a nobleman on high in a tower, watching as his subjects advance on him. MG finds a cupboard with a ladder - she climbs it up. Knocks out a maid and feeds on her. Takes some toothpaste and a wrench from the bathroom. Climbs stairs to the third floor; sees sigils indicating another ward - sprays toothpaste over it to try to disrupt it.
Kas gets to the 3rd floor - finds a fancy room guarded by a butler with a pistol. he downs him and takes the gun, breaks in with Purro. Finds VT. They tussle a bit; VT dominates Kas and tells him to kill Purro. 9s comes up behind and brawls with VT.
MP gets in and heads upstairs. Stair ward deals Agg dmg. C uses Sense the Unseen and sees a shimmery wall around the whole house. She goes in the detached garage - sees JD's ghost, tells him to drive the car into the door.
MG gets up the stairs (toothpaste unsuccessful) and sees VT - uses the magic stake. 9s stops Kas from attacking Purro. VT FUCKING DIESSSSSSSSSSS as JD plows the limo through the front door and Kas snaps out of it. C searches the house for fetters and valuables. C collects VT's ashes in two vials. She takes the tracking device off the limo, sets it on fire and uses it to burn the rest of the house.
---JUNE 28, ONE MONTH AFTER VT DIED ---
C meets with Putanesca, tells him the plan.
MP meets with Yarborough - he asks who Faust is. They have an awkward convo about magic where they each sort of admit what they are. He runs away and she goes to see Faust and tells him.
MG takes MP to a club to cheer her up but forgot that clubs are closed, so they break in and invite Max and X. MG shows MP her squat and they stay the night there.
--- NEXT DAY ---
MP and MG head home via bus. K opens the door for a woman - Luciana Valdez. She says she was there during the time of the Council and has hunted Primogens before. We tell her about the general situation and which Barons and players are most down for the cause. She gives her number to Kas.
MP brews tea for HY and leaves it at his door with a note saying she hopes he doesn't leave.
C tells us to destroy her whistle fetter if anything bad happens to her. We discuss killing Naylor to resolve the fetter. He is a primogen so MG suggests getting help from LV.
We discuss getting Fisher or GG or Drac helping us with Temple.
C stakes Temple after Kas moves his heart with Vicissitude. Puttanesca gives her an address. JP and 3 guys take him away and hand C her whistle. A dodge charger comes in and rams a light pole and some of the lights go out. JP gets beheaded and shots fly. Cops show up but Temple gets out and Dominates them.
Kas returns C to her normal form and gets Covetous. He asks for the whistle but MG gives him hers instead.
HY texts MP apologizing for running away. She meets him in Venice Beach. He tests her with garlic, water, crosses, etc. They talk about vampires and mages; he doesn't really know much about mages.
Max calls MG and tells her Drac has a new temporary haven - 3474 la sombra drive. Says to keep it mostly secret.
Kas begins investigation to try to track down his mother. Goes to an old family neighborhood; guy (Ben) says Mr Santiago has lived there for a long time and may know something. K rings Santiago's bell. An old man answers, seems familiar. He remembers Adrian and Mary California. Everyone left around the same time and mentioned moving east -- Nevada or Utah?
MG talks to C about the whistle a bit and then tells her about Dracula's new house. C texts the coterie and we go. A pudgy middle aged man in a butler uniform -- Igor. As we walk through the mansion filled with spooky movie props, C spies a Fetter - the head dress from Queen of the Damned. Dracula mentions wanting a queen so C offers to have a seance for him one night and he agrees. MG and Max share lemonade. C asks if there is a garden - Igor has one. C mentions the Dark Mother to Max and he is interested, but when MG and Max go to his room MG tells him that the DM is actually kind of scary.
--- NEXT EVENING ---
MG introduces Max to tucker carlson and tells him about the cheese conspiracy.
Warren calls MP. Asks about vannevar; says he has a club that MP could join but he has to know that she's cool enough. He texts her an address and she heads to him in East LA. Looks like an old bank. He gives her a pinpad code and tells her how to open the vault. Inside is a staked body. It's Jayne Jonestown, a musician that kindred dislike because he violates the masquerade and rumors say he works with hunters. Warren asks if she's familiar with the Red List -- Camarilla most wanted. He's on the list and so is Warren. She diablerizes him. W warns her that Archons are coming.
C tells the group at Drac's house about the DM. MG is slightly more interested when C says that Caine was part of the Lamestream Media.
Kas gets a call from Annabelle - Anarch rally tomorrow. MG invites Max and Drac and tries to convince Drac to join the Anarchs since he is King of all Vampires.
Coterie sans MP returns home. C gets message in the spirit mirror - "what happened?" she explains vaguely, doesn't tell truth.
K asks C and MG for help finding his family. C investigates online and MP has a vision of Sevier Lake.
MP warns us about the Archons. MG provokes a vision about the rally but it seems like it will be fine. C says we should kill Naylor sooner than later and summons Peggy to check on Naylor again.
MG rides with Kas and Pam to the rally. C and MP ride together. It's a warehouse east of downtown.
MG has a vision of a hot guy on a motorcycle, weaving through traffic, loud and zippy and red. Feels like Damsel but isn't. finds the motorcycle in the parking lot but no one with it. Skelter says he knows him and will introduce us.
C talks to Annabelle, tries to make her uncomfortable while seeming friendly. Damsel says there's somebody we need to meet. It's Dean -- he knows our names and calls MG "mary" so she freaks and runs. D gives Kas some coke even though it doesn't do anything for vamps.
Drac enters and MG and Max hype him up through the crowd and introduce him to the anarch leaders. Nines gives a speech and introduces Bite Club; Kas shows the sword, MG rolls high to talk about the Barons and throws in Drac's name as a leader in the city, C talks about Naylor trying to become the next prince and introduces Katie, ends with the council as well. Luciana Valdez comes on stage and talks about the council as well, with the crowd intently listening. Someone in the crowd (bulky latino guy, rough-looking, cross tattoo on arm) looks annoyed with LV but Chou whispers a threat in his ear; MG hears it: a warning not to go up on stage or Chou will beat his mother with his spine. MP ends on a polite note.
C talks to 9s about moving on Naylor before the Archon reinforcements come in. Says we should meet somewhere more private.
MG and Max continute introducing Drac to people and hyping him up.
A stranger comes to MP: Young Sixxy, a white guy with tattoos and cornrows. Says they have an associate in common -- Warren is friends with his "grandma" and his "pops" (Elm) wants to meet her. She introduces MG. He gives us an address in Hollywood.
A goth-looking guy in a top hat smoking a clove says some people in Las Vegas are mad at C. Says he doesn't like the Giovanni; his name is Edgar. He has a mirror; C will message him through it.
C goes to meet some TBs who were cheering when she mentioned Katie. They say they're willing to do what they can to help avenge her. MG brings Drac around to meet them. They seem a little interested. Edgar thinks he's cool.
Dean storms back into the building, bloodied with torn clothes, and whispers at Damsel and 9s. MG catches snippets about someone named Jesse, who is gone now. Seems bad. MG tells C and they follow; ask 9s if they need help. MG forces a Premonition: Lots of blood. a scepter. A bad man with a knife. A dirty room. Dean punches the wall and in the cracks MG "remembers of Bishop's anti-Camarilla rants. He talked about the evil red scepter of the assassin girl. Her name is Lucinde. And she's terrible." 9s and D leave on bikes.
Bite Club follow's Young Sixxy's address and goes to the Seventh Veil off of Sunset Blvd. It's a strip club. A super tall guy comes in -- Elm. Says Warren mentioned we may be willing to get our hands dirty. Says he wants info on the Camarilla and could make our boons go away for it. Wants info on Anarchs as well. Says he'll introduce us to his "associate" if we bring him something good. MG asks what he wants it for and he says to stay ahead of anyone looking to do them harm. Insight/Detect Lies says he's not lying but it's a bit more complex. MG tells him about Lucinde, the assassin.
